I took these G1X Mark II nature photos in North Carolina when I was visiting the area for a family wedding. I was pleased with the auto color balance and the auto exposure of the G1X Mark II.
The G1x Mark II is easy to carry because of its size and weight. It's easy to carry in a large pocket, on a waist bag, or a small over the shoulder type of camera bag.
The 5x zoom range of the G1X Mark II makes it versatile enough to handle wide angle landscape photos as well as zoomed in close-ups to capture patterns and textures. Also, see a list of the other Canon photo galleries on this website.
Just as the sun was setting I noticed the contrast of all of these horizontal lines, the fence, the boards on the shed, and the shadow line. Normally I don't divide a photo in half using the horizon but the position of the shed interrupted the horizontal line perfectly.
These rock faces at Mount Pilot are favorites of the local rock climbers and there were several climbers in action on the day we took this hike. Have a blast with your photography!
