"Can u add a bigger lens to a power shot (Powershot 540) with a Adapter?"

Hi Jessica,

thanks for asking if you can use an adapter on the Canon Powershot SX540 to make the lens bigger. The SX540 is popular because it has such a huge zoom range. It has a 50X zoom range, the equivalent of very wide 24mm focal length to an absurd 1200mm telephoto focal length.

Lenses for The Powershot SX540

There aren't any add on lenses for the SX540 because of its already extreme telephoto capabilities. The SX540 is not an ILC-Interchangeable Lens Camera either so you cannot detach the lens from the camera body in order to step up in size.

At the fullest zoom setting of 215mm (equal to 1200mm on a full frame camera) it is already very challenging to get sharp focus.

Thanks,
Bruce
